"What's this going to cost us" is usually the first real question after "is this a good idea," and it's a fair one. Event budgets for 2026 are tighter than they've been in a few years, and whoever's booking the event — an office manager, an HR director, a team lead using discretionary budget — needs a number they can actually put in front of finance before they get excited about anything else.

The Baseline Corporate Paint Event Cost in Toronto
Our two most-booked formats — Individual Canvas Painting and Collaborative Canvas Painting — start at $500 for a 2-hour session. Both include full, step-by-step instruction from a professional artist, so nobody in the room needs painting experience.
If your group wants something lower-pressure and self-directed, Freestyle Painting starts at $300 with no formal instruction — good for a more relaxed social hour where people paint at their own pace. We also recently added a 1-hour Oil Pastel Drawing session, also from $300, for teams that want something shorter than a full 2-hour block.
None of these prices are per-person add-on traps. What you see is the starting rate for the event; the final number scales from there mainly based on group size.
What actually moves the price
There's only one factor that shifts the quote up or down: Group size.
Six people and fifty people are both viable group sizes for the collaborative format, but obviously more guests means more materials, more canvases, and sometimes a second instructor to keep the pace comfortable for everyone.
What does not change the price (and why you'll love our event)
Event length: Our standard sessions run 2 hours, which is the sweet spot for most corporate groups — long enough to finish a real piece, short enough to fit into a workday without eating the whole afternoon.
Location: We travel to offices, banquet halls, and homes across Toronto and the GTA. Venue-related costs are usually simpler for an in-office event than an offsite, since you're not separately booking and paying for a space.
Customization: We often build a custom painting design around the team — a nod to the company logo's colour palette, a shared reference photo, something tied to the occasion. That planning happens after booking and doesn't change the base price.

This is the part people usually don't ask about but should, because it's where a lot of the actual value sits:

Compare that to the hidden costs of a typical offsite: venue rental, transportation or parking, AV fees, and the soft cost of lost work time while people travel there and back. A two-hour in-office event with materials and instruction included tends to come out simpler to budget for than it looks on paper, mostly because there's nothing extra to plan around.
A rough way to think about the math
If you're trying to build a quick estimate before requesting a formal quote: take the base rate for your chosen event type, then think in terms of your group size relative to that starting point. A group of 6 to 10 people booking the collaborative format is a very normal size for the $500 starting rate; larger groups scale up from there. One thing worth flagging for planning purposes: popular dates, especially fall and holiday season, fill up a few weeks out. If you know you'll want an event in November or December, it's worth locking in a date now rather than waiting until your team asks "so, are we doing anything this year?"
